Making history – Sunday Rugby
Our women’s team played their first ever match against Portadown RFC Women on a Sunday. Two firsts for Pollock Park this season. A great game of rugby by two very committed sides. Ferocious tackling, some great hard running rugby, big scrums and good line outs, all in torrential rain. The large crowd of supporters were treated to a very entertaining match. The final score was 10 – 0 to Portadown but the real winner today was rugby.
Each and every player who pulled on the Lurgan jersey today wore the jersey with great pride & distinction. The club are so proud of each and everyone of you. The future is bright.
