Mr. Paul Wilson
On behalf of Lurgan Rugby Football Club may I take this opportunity to extend a warm welcome to visitors to our website.
We currently field 2 senior teams and an U20’s side. We also have youth teams and a vibrant mini rugby section who play under the umbrella of the Lurgan Tigers Youth Academy. Young players are the future of any club and at Lurgan we have been fortunate to see quite a number come through our under age sides and go on to represent the club at senior level.
The exploits of the 1st XV made the 2017/18 season one of the most successful in the clubs recent history. They retained the Wolfhound Cup against Civil Service and defeated Donaghadee at the Kingspan Stadium to win a third Gordon West Cup. A week later a draw against the same opponents was enough to secure the Qualifying 3 League title and a place in Qualifying 2 for the 2018/19 season. Add to this a fantastic “Evening with Warren Gatland” and a successful club tour and it really has been a season to remember at Pollock Park.
Our grateful thanks go out to all our club sponsors, whose generous support is vital as the club seeks to continue to grow, to develop its own home grown players and strive for further success.
Please show your appreciation for the essential part the club sponsors play by supporting them whenever possible. There are numerous sponsorship opportunities available. Club sponsorship, pitch side advertising and match day sponsorship are just some of the ways you can play a part in supporting the club.
If you would be interested in becoming a part of the club as a player, coach, sponsor or supporter we would love to hear from you so please get in touch.
I look forward to making new acquaintances and renewing old friendships along the touchline next season. So whether you haven’t been to Pollock Park before or haven’t been up to a game in a while you will be made more than welcome.
I would just like to wish all our players and coaches an enjoyable, successful and injury free 2018/19 season at whatever level they compete at.
